Signs your spreadsheets are making work harder
Look for repeated entry of orders, stock figures that do not match, files that only one person understands and delays finding the latest numbers. These are reasons to review your process, not automatic reasons to buy new software.
Work out which processes matter
List the jobs that use spreadsheets today, such as quotes, orders, warehouse stock, invoicing and purchasing. Note who does each job and where mistakes or delays happen.
What Odoo can bring together
Odoo offers connected apps for sales, stock, purchasing, CRM and accounting. The exact fit depends on your business, your Odoo plan and the way each module is configured. You may not need every module on day one.
Look at the cost of changing
Software licences are only part of the cost. Allow for data cleaning, setup, staff training, integrations, testing and ongoing support. A smaller first stage may be easier to manage than replacing everything at once.
Check the people side
Ask the staff who will use the new system what they need. Good processes matter more than a long feature list. Agree on what must stay the same, what should change and who approves the finished setup.
A sensible first step
Choose one workflow, such as quote to invoice or purchase order to stock receipt, and map it from start to finish. Then compare what Odoo would change, how much setup is needed and whether the time saved is worth the effort.
